Program Changes for 2007–08:
  • New Stat Theory course for actuarial students: STAT 470 (replaces STAT 441)
  • STAT 442 is no longer required, but may be used as an elective
  • Stat 469 Time Series offered Winter instead of Fall Semester
  • Participation in an internship (with or without academic credit) is strongly encouraged (Stat 496R)

Although any electives from the approved lists are acceptable, the following electives fulfill the Society of Actuaries VEE (Validation by Educational Experience).

Applied Stat VEE: STAT 336, 337; one of STAT 469, ECON 388, or ECON 588
