Mu Sigma Rho Purpose

Mu Sigma Rho is a non-secret organization whose purpose is the promotion and encouragement of schollary activity in statistics and the recognition of worth-while achievement among the staff and students in elegible academic and nonacademic institutions. It aims to do this by:

1. Electing members according to their academic achievement, especially in the field of statistics.
2. Engaging in activities designed to promate the statistical and general scholarly development of its members.
3. Encouraging participation in the various professional statistical societies and associations.
