Computing Facilities

The department has six different computer labs for student use with about 15 PC's per lab. The computers in the labs represent the latest in technology and software. In a recent external review of the department a reviewer noted, "The computing hardware is comparable to that of any statistics department I have seen."

The department has a commitment to providing as high a level of computing facilities for the use of its students as would be found by those students entering the job force. It also feels that the proper education would require that the student be trained on the kind of software you would likely find outside the university setting.
